It’s mid August and the official end to summer is rapidly approaching, so to celebrate my 5th episode I’ve compiled a special episode for you. Let me tell you, you are in for a real treat….a 2 ½ hour 24 song mix of the biggest summer sounding anthems and tracks from this 2012 summer season. Get a nice cold alcoholic drink and download this podcast for the beach or pool because I’m going to be serving up summer style house, electro, progressive and trance island feeling realness!

We start off with groovy little house numbers by Sean Dizzyfunk, the Nervo girls  and Stonebridge for you. Regulars of the show know that I always like to include a classic reworked for present day, and this month is no exception with a killer 2012 rerub of the massive club track “I’ll Hide U” and the rerelease of BT’s Flaming June for 2012. Roger Shah, an expert at bringing that easy, breezy, island sound to both his own productions and remixes, pulls double duty this month and doesn’t disappoint. Answer42 will also pull double duty this episode with the last minute addition to the show (literally as I typed this I remembered his “The Lemon Effect” track and just had to add it in, making it the 24th track) and PROFF on remix duty giving you that total Ibiza feel. German DJ’s Kyau & Albert have a fun new vocal, “Another Time”, along with fellow German DJ Ronski Speed kills it with his latest progressive track, “Proton 12″. Both are getting major play time in my sets, but the Ronski Spped track is definitely a favorite at the moment; both out now on Euphonic. As a side note, “Proton 12 can also be found on The Gallery’s Social Construct CD, which I highly recommend. 4 strings, Lost Emotions, and Rave Channel have great sweeping/pounding trance tracks, but the best is DJ Shog’s “Annual Dreams” which I have to say has to be hands down one of my top 3 favorite tracks of the summer. And finally, there were quite a few collaborations this summer which produced some of the sickest tracks of all. First we have brother and sister Ferry Corsten and Aruna teaming up for the ‘Live Forever track off his new album, “WKND”, Juventa & Answer42 with “Like These Eyes”, Tritonal & Kaeno produced Azuca for The Gallery’s Social Construct CD, and finally Boom Jinx & Daniel Kandi teamed up for the absolutely massive “Azzura” track, which features boy wonder kin of the moment Raphael Frost on remix duties. I swear I can listen to that track all day long!!! The full track listing can be found at the bottom of the post.
